I believe creative expression has the ability to empower and transform a person’s narrative. I also believe that all people, regardless of limitations, have the ability to create meaningful artwork. My art therapy practice uses a critical lens to examine power dynamics, systematic oppression, and the impact of the ecological framework to provide accessible, person-centered, and culturally competent art therapy interventions.
The goal of my art therapy practice to provide a platform for people to develop social and emotional skills, strengthen their sense of empowerment, and foster healing through art making. I strive to be an ally in support of individuals' and communities' strengths and use these strengths to achieve growth.
